Military-Like Academy, With a Heart
Heartland Boys Academy is a military-like school unlike any other. We have a military academy, an accredited school, and a working ranch and farm offering competitive team sports, a spiritual emphasis, and hands-on vocational training. All of these are designed to bring about new interests and hope, to change in a boy’s heart and life.
Spiritual life is also the cornerstone component of Heartland Boys Academy. We are devoted to introducing every teen to His Maker. Many teenagers who come have moved away from their spiritual heritage or have never professed any faith. This program offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faith, perhaps for the first time.
Heartland Boys Academy exclusively enrolls troubled or at-risk boys. Besides helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love others. Community service events and real jobs give real-life experience and application of the leadership principles taught at Heartland.
Boys who attend Heartland Boys Academy go to a fully accredited high school that employs a program of classroom and independent study. Students complete courses, with weekly objectives established by instructors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. Heartland also supports students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
Our Positive Culture
The caring staff here at Heartland Boys Academy acknowledges that teens and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. Many boys in our military school program turn from their self-destructive behavior to a lifetime of serving others. If your teenage boy needs order and discipline to put his life in order, please consider Heartland.
Athletics at Heartland Boys Academy play a role in leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person.
